Registration Form

The registration form for the 2023/2024 school year will be available late summer. Details on how to register are listed on the bottom of the form.

The 2022/2023 school year has now ended! The next school year will begin mid-October. Check back later in the summer for more information about the upcoming year.

Deutsche Schule (German Language School) for Adults will run Saturday mornings and will be starting in mid-October 2023 and will go until mid-March 2024 (perhaps longer depending on missed classes due to weather or other reasons). The school term consists of 20 classes, each class is one-and-a-half hours in length. The coming year we will be offering an A1-1 beginner's classs. Each course costs $375.00 for the school year. Your school fees include registration, lessons and textbooks/materials (that's less than $20 a lesson!). Students will only be required to bring notepads, pens and pencils.

Classes will be held in-person at our club house and will hopefully be able to continue this way pending restrictions outlined by AHS. Please see the contact tab for location details.

Course descriptions:

  • A1-1 course is for beginners with little to no knowledge of the German language. This course is ideal for those individuals who are looking to learn more about Germany as a whole as well as begin to speak and understand the German language. We will focus on the basics of German grammar and building conversation skills. A variety of topics covered include: alphabet and numbers, German culture and traditions, introductions and basic conversations, speaking about food and parts of the house.

Course materials:

A1-1 will continue to use the Schritte International Neu textbooks for the adult classes.

Class times are tentatively set for the following times. These will be confirmed closer to the beginning of the new school year.

A1-1: TBD

We would hope and encourage that students and families of students will join our German Club, but it is not mandatory.

A few school rules to consider and remember:

- Preregistered students only

- Respect the teachers and other students at all times

- No smoking or smoke break during class
